To The Historic Durham Athletic Park

The Historic Durham Athletic Park(DAP) is located at 428 Morris Street in downtown Durham, and is easily accessible from major highways. Free parking may be forund on the streets and surrounding the facility. IT IS SUGGESTED THAT PATRONS PARK IN THE CITY PARKING FACILTIY ON TWO BLOCKS FROM THE DAP FOR A SMALL FEE. The DAP is handicapped accessible and a mininum number of handicapped spaces will be available.

DIRECTIONS: From 1-85/US70/15-501:

Exit onton Gregson Street, Drive one mile to Trinity Avenue. Turn left. Drive two Blocks to Washington Street. Turn right. Drive two blocks to COrporation Street. Turn right. The DAP is on the right. From I-40 Exit Durham Freeway (NC147). Drive eight miles and take a slight right onton S. Duke Street. Turn right onto Corporation. Drive one block to the DAP. The DAP is on the right.

 

To the Hayti Heritage Center

The Hayti Heritage Center is conveniently located at the corner of Fayetteville Street and Lakewood Avenue, only 2 minutes from downtown Durham, 10 blocks from North Carolina Central University, and just off of the Durham Freeway (Hwy. 147).

Parking is available on the premises or at Phoenix Square, Heritage Square Shopping Center, and adjacent streets.

From I-40

Take the NC-147 exit, exit number 279B, towards Durham/Downtown. Merge onto Hwy. 147 North. Take the Fayetteville St. exit, exit number 12A, towards North Carolina Central University. Turn Left onto Fayetteville St. Go 1.5 blocks. The Center will be on your left.

From I-85

Take the Hwy. 147 South exit, exit number 172, towards Durham/Downtown/Research Triangle Park. Merge onto Hwy. 147 S. Take the exit towards Mangum St./Roxboro St. (US -15/501)/Fayetteville St./North Carolina Central University Merge onto W. Morehead Ave. Turn right on Fayetteville St.
